The spirit of Terry Fox was alive and well in Coleville this year, thanks to the unstoppable energy of the Rossville School Raccoons! Rossville students didn’t just participate in the annual Terry Fox Run, they made it their mission to make a difference!
With a fundraising goal of $2,000, students hit the pavement, going door to door in the community to raise money for cancer research. Along the way, they earned more than just donation, they also earned admiration. Neighbours and community members couldn’t stop raving about how polite, respectful, and enthusiastic the young fundraisers were.
And the results? They blew our goal out of the water, raising over $3,000, more than $1,000 above the target!
The student had been promised a swim in Kindersley if they reached the goal, but with such an incredible effort, the reward was doubled. The Raccoons are heading for a swim and a celebratory lunch, thanks to the generous support of Boston Pizza, who stepped up to sponsor the meal. A huge shout-out to BP’s for helping us recognize the students’ hard work and heart.
The community and school couldn’t be prouder of our Rossville Raccoons. Their dedication, kindness, and community spirit truly embody the legacy of Terry Fox. Thank you to everyone who donated, cheered them on, and helped make this event a resounding success.
