Rosetown Central High School (RCHS) has been named one of six recipients of the 2025 DEWALT Tool Enhancement Package, a prestigious grant awarded by Skills/Compétences Canada, Skills Canada Saskatchewan, and DEWALT. This recognition celebrates the school’s longstanding commitment to skilled trades education and its active participation in Skills Canada competitions.

Valued at approximately $10,000, the DEWALT Tool Grant provides high-quality tools—briefly used during the Skills Canada National Competition—to support hands-on learning in trades and technology programs. Rosetown’s students, including those with special needs, will benefit from enhanced training opportunities in areas such as cabinetmaking, carpentry, welding, and autobody.

Led by project advisor and RCHS Practical and Applied Arts teacher Ken Dows, the school has a rich history of community engagement through student-led projects, including accessible garden boxes for seniors, sensory tables for daycares, and repairs for local facilities. The grant will further empower students to develop practical skills while contributing meaningfully to their community.

Congratulations to Rosetown Central High School on this well-deserved achievement!
