Profile of Scott Sully: The Next Principal of Outlook Elementary School

Scott Sully will assume the role of Principal of Outlook Elementary School(OES) in the fall of 2026, bringing with him a strong academic foundation and a decade of progressive experience as an educator and school leader. His background reflects a clear commitment to instructional excellence, inclusive education, and community-centred leadership.

“We are very pleased to have Scott join Sun West,” stated Sun West Director of Education Darryl Seguin. “We are looking forward to his perspective and experience having a big impact in Outlook and in the whole division,” he added.

Mr. Sully holds a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Regina and is completing a Post-Degree Certificate in Special Education at the University of Saskatchewan. He has also completed the Saskatchewan Principals’ Short Course and his initial training includes a Bachelor of Education with a major in History and a minor in Geography, providing a broad curricular perspective that supports effective school-wide leadership.

Professionally, Mr. Sully has accumulated ten years of successful K–12 teaching and administrative experience. He currently serves as Vice Principal at MacLeod Elementary School in Moosomin, where he also teaches Grade 5, and previously held the role of Vice Principal at McNaughton High School, also in Moosomin. His administrative experience includes acting principal duties, staff supervision, timetable development, budgeting, and family communication.

A significant portion of Mr. Sully’s career has focused on learning support and inclusive education. As a Learning Support Teacher, he planned and implemented programming for students with diverse and intensive needs, working closely with teachers to strengthen classroom practice. He has extensive experience with individualized education plans, behaviour support plans, and collaborative response processes, reinforcing his belief that student success is achieved through responsive and inclusive approaches.

“I am excited for the opportunity to take on a leadership role at OES and serve the families and students of Outlook,” stated Mr. Sully. “Growing up in the region, it is great to return to Sun West School Division where I was a student myself before beginning my professional journey in education. Schools play an essential and important role in rural communities, and I am honored to be a part of this school and the community,” he concluded.
