Sloane (Luck, Skills, and Miracles: How Two People Survived a Plane Crash) – Archives Award

Provincial were held at Government House in Regina where, despite Jayne being unable to present due to illness, the Davidson team continued to impress. Porscha received the Celebrating Canada Award, while Sloane was honored with the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society Family History Award and placed sixth overall in the province. Porscha and Sloane received their awards from her Honour, Bernadette McIntyre, Lt. Governor of Saskatchewan, who also took the time to view their displays and listen to their presentations on their topics.

Thanks to her strong regional performance, Sloane was invited to participate in the 2025 National Virtual Heritage Fair Showcase, a prestigious event that highlights the top student-led history projects from across Canada. Her project is now live online, and the public can vote to help her win the People’s Choice Award. Click here to view Sloane’s project online.
