Congratulations to the students and staff of Davidson School, who again are the top fundraising school in Saskatchewan for the Terry Fox Run!
Every year schools across Canada and even around the world, hold Terry Fox Runs to raise funds for Cancer Research. These Runs honour the legacy of Canadian hero Terry Fox, whose Marathon of Hope continues to inspire people young and old to make a difference. Davidson School has consistently been one of the top fundraising schools for the Run and like this year has often raised the most money in the province.
Davidson School students and staff raised an impressive $19,143.60,which is more than any other elementary or secondary school in Saskatchewan. Besides the Run itself, the school raised money through a highly successful Jail’N’Bail as well as providing prizes for the top fundraising students.
Elrose Composite School, Eston Composite School, and Kenaston School also deserve congratulations! Elrose Composite School students and staff raised $6,173, which was the ninth most money for the Terry Fox Run in the secondary school category. Eston Composite School students and staff raised $5,387, which was the thirteenth most money for Terry Fox Run in the secondary school category. Kenaston School staff and students raised $4,910.62, which was the eighteen most money for the Terry Fox Run in the secondary school category.
Sun West is proud that so many of its schools participate in the Terry Fox Run, and thanks everyone who organizes and participates in these amazing events.
