Trustees actively support numerous educational activities and events.   • The Board of Education held a regular meeting on September 23.  Highlights included: The Facilities, Transportation, and Information Technology Department annual reports were all reviewed.
  • The Board received a report on Parent Engagement in Sun West. The Board accepted a proposal to participate, throughout 2025-26,  in leadership and team building training offered by Franklin Covey Education.
  • The Board accepted a proposal to deliver content traditionally offered at the online Public Meeting to instead be provided through a series of short videos with one offered each month.

Trustees Are Part of Your Community

Trustees regularly attend school and community events in their subdivisions. On September 19, Subdivision 5 Trustee Terry Hall attended “Planting New Roots Together,” a tree-planting event held by the Elrose Composite School Community Council (SCC). In the picture above on the right, Terry and her student team pose with their fully planted tree.  The students and community members worked all morning and then were rewarded by a barbeque lunch sponsored by the SCC.
