Learning about Ag with Mady is a huge hit

Grade 3 student Mady Adamson wants to educate people about where their food comes from and to do it she has launched her own series of agricultural videos that are making a big splash all over the province.

Mady lives on her family farm near Rosetown and attends Westberry Elementary School in Kindersley. So far she has posted six different videos that explain everything from the different types of crops produced in Saskatchewan to the different types of machinery used on farms. She posts the videos on the Facebook page Learning About Ag with Mady and her videos have gotten thousands of views!

Her videos are making Mady famous and she has already been approached by radio stations, social media, magazines and other media outlets for interviews. She will soon be giving an interview to the Western Producer magazine.

Most recently, Mady even caught the eye of Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe who shared her videos on his own Facebook page and wrote: “If you are ever worried about the next generation of Saskatchewan farmers, don’t be. Thank you Mady, for showing off some of the crops your family grows and what they are used for. Great job!”

Premier Moe also personally phoned Mady and praised her agricultural knowledge and her videos that are teaching people all about agriculture in Saskatchewan.

Mady is amazing,” said Sun West Director of Education Randy Emmerson, “her passion and ability to communicate about agriculture makes her a great educator in her own right. We are so proud of her.”
