BCS2000 Thunder Band brings some hope

This year has been difficult for students to be involved in giving back to the community. However, the Biggar Central School 2000 (BCS2000) Band 9 group, BCS Thunder, put together a bucket drumming song to share with community members in both Biggar and Saskatoon! These drummers were very excited to record themselves playing a song called Zombie Squirrels to share with the community.

BCS2000 Thunder Band shared their recording in a Canada Music Week performance in Biggar, as well as a Hope for the Holidays concert at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Since they can’t bring in any live performers this year, St. Paul’s Hospital asked performers including students from BCS2000 involved in the performing arts to contribute a video to help spread cheer at Christmas time. St. Paul’s Hospital put together a video featuring a number of performances for all of their patients who will be in the hospital over the holidays. The BCS2000 Thunder Band song will be played throughout the hospital in December to bring joy to those who would otherwise have a very lonely Christmas season.
