​Exciting District Curling Championships in Kyle

The West Central District Athletic Association (WCDAA) Junior Curling Championships were held on February 28-29 in Kyle. It was an exciting tournament with teams competing from Kyle, Rosetown, Davidson, Beechy, Plenty, Outlook, Elrose, Biggar and Marengo schools.

This year the Girls title went to Rosetown Central High School with their team made up of: Skip Taya Geen, Third Audrey Ediger, Second Mackenzie Waldner, Lead Brynn Wilson, Alternate Josalyn Ashmore and Coach Melissa Hingston.

The Boys Championship was won by Outlook High School. Their team was composed of: Skip Drew Ivan, Third Bryden Sparks, Second Davin Dalisay, Lead Kalen Follick and Coaches Shannon Stephenson and Robert LeBlanc.

The team from Biggar Central School 2000 with Skip Hayden McMahon, Third Hayden Hoogeveen, Second Katelyn Fecht, Lead Colton Neufled, Alternates Bella Baroni and Xavier Downton and Coach Tracy Thomson won the mixed category.
