Rosetown Central High School PAA/Home Ec. 10 students presented their "Fidget Quilt" projects to residents of the Rose Villa Long Term Care Home in Rosetown. These projects had students design and construct a lap-sized quilt that included a variety of sensory or tactile fidgets to provide stimulation for someone with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Students also took into consideration safety, durability and launderability, as well as economics by using up fabric and notion remnants to create these projects. On June 19th, the students personally met and presented their quilts to some Rose Villa residents and were able to appreciate how their work and thoughtfulness had touched the lives of others.
