Outlook Elementary's Outdoor Classroom

OES Outdoor Classroom

Towering sunflowers, sprawling pumpkins, fluttering butterflies and lively lady bugs.  These are just a few things you would see upon entering our outdoor classroom.  About three years ago a group of staff from OES began the process of planning and developing this natural space.  The purpose of the outdoor classroom was to provide students with an area to interact with nature while fostering intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual growth.

Thank you to the following businesses and community members that have donated items or helped with this project so far:  Virginia Mireau, Bill and Tessa Ivan, Oliver Green, Doug Wagner, Cara Drury and Clayton Gurskey, Marina Matlock, Linda Lee, Dan Raymes, staff and students at OES, Co-op, and Broderick Garden Centre.

We will be looking for volunteers in the spring to help with the weeding and watering of this space.  If anyone is interested in helping with this, please contact the school.
