Prairie Centre Credit Union:  Achieve Student Scholarships

PCCU awards more than $13,000 each year!

PCCU is always looking for ways to improve our services for youth, so we're going right to the source.  Each year, we look for Grade 12 students who are willing to put on their thinking caps and help us come up with ideas on how we can better meet the financial needs of youth in our communities.

In return for student "brain power" and creative thinking, two main scholarships of $3,500 are awarded in June of each year to the top entries.  In addition, 12 x $500 scholarships are also awarded to the runner up entries.  That's a grand total of $13,000 and a "win-win" for both students and PCCU!

The Achieve program is about investing in ideas - ideas that will help shape the way we do business with our youth in exchange for an investment in their education.  Together with our students, we can Achieve great things!

Agriculture Student Scholarship Opportunity (Deadline to apply is March 1, 2018)

Do you know a student thinking about attending an agriculture-related post-secondary program in the fall of 2018?

For students passionate about speaking up and telling the story of agriculture, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is proudly offering the Agriculture Student Scholarship for the eighth consecutive year.

Saskatchewan Grade 12 students and recent high school graduates (within the last two years) have the chance to win a grand prize scholarship valued at $4,000 or one of three runner-up scholarships of $2,000 when they submit a three-minute video or 1,000-word essay detailing their food story. This year’s scholarship theme, “Our Food Has a Story,” encourages youth to have conversations with others about the relationship between agriculture and the food they eat.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be planning to take an agriculture-related post-secondary education program beginning in the fall of 2018. This scholarship program has been designed to identify young people who thinkAG and plan to pursue an exciting career in the industry.

Students can apply online at Saskatchewan.ca. For more information, please visit Saskatchewan.ca and type “Ag Student Scholarship” in the search bar.

Thank you for helping to promote this great scholarship opportunity!
