Learning Consultants and Coaches
Sun West employs one Learning Consultant and one Career Development Consultant
Vanessa Lewis is the Career Development Consultant for Sun West School Division. She oversees Career Work Exploration, Apprenticeship Credit, Career Work Development and works with, and supports Career Work Exploration Teachers throughout the division. Jill Long takes over the position as Career Consultant for the 2012-2013 School Year.
Jade Ballek is the Learning Consultant for Sun West School Division. Her role is to support staff in assessment strategies and assessment literacy throughout the division.

Learning Coaches
The position of Learning Coach was established in the 2008-09 school year. Sun West has five Learning Coaches. Learning Coaches are resource people, available to teachers who are looking for assistance in improving student learning and professional practice in their classrooms. Learning Coaches provide teachers with modeling and planning for the use of teaching strategies, resources related to their fields, general good classroom practices and any number of other diverse aspects that are part of being a teacher. Learning Coaches will also provide support for School Division programs such as Professional Learning Teams and the literacy goal.
