The SCC AGM will be on Monday, April 8 at 7:00 pm in the library.   All community members are invited/encouraged to attend.

The next regular SCC meeting will be on Monday, May 6 at 6:30 pm in the library.


SCC Ninja Challenge
The SCC held a family fun day on Sunday, February 4.  Students and parents had an opportunity to participate in a "Ninja Challenge"  They completed in an exciting obstacle course that involved a bouncy castle, a tunnel, a balance beam and more.  The students and parents who were there had a fun and exciting time.

Jacob Moon
The SCC sponsored a presentation by Jacob Moon on Tuesday, October 17 that was open to the community.
Jacob Moon is a one-man band who uses live looping to make his guitar sound like an orchestra. He has dazzled audiences with his voice and guitar for 20 years across Canada. He brings his unique blend of musical mastery, poignant storytelling and audience participation to his presentations. Students are encouraged and inspired by his message of determination, hard work, and investing in yourself. He challenges students to follow their dreams.

SCC Welcome Back Dance

The SCC held its Welcome Back Dance and family barbecue on September 28th.  This popular event was once again well attended by several families, and featured a special performance by the 4:54 band.

SCC Caught Reading Program

For the last two weeks of school the SCC sponsored a "caught reading" program.  A variety of staff members were deputized as the "catchers" and caught students reading.  Students names were then entered for prizes.

SCC Family Fun Day

The SCC held a family fun day on Sunday, November 8.  Students in grades K-3 were invited to come with their families for an afternoon of fun and games.


Healthy Snack Day

The SCC provides a once a month healthy snack to the students of Eaton School.  It is an ongoing program and healthy snack day is the first Kindergarten-Monday of each month.

The Welcome Back Luau

The SCC Welcome Back Family Dance (Luau Theme) was held on Wednesday, September 16.  A burger and hotdog supper at 5:00 was followed by a dance for parents and kids of all ages.  The activity was well attended with parents and students alike having a good time.  Thank you to the SRC students for helping with the barbecuing and running the entertainment for the dance.
