SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Special Education program assists all students to achieve their best in all subject areas.  Parent and student input is important as the school assigns placements for individual students.  The special education teacher may work with the student in the classroom or in a pull-out program designed to meet the individual needs of that student and the special education teacher will contact parents so that individual program plans can be developed at the beginning of the school year.  The special education program also may assess students to determine needs and develop effective programming.  Providing strategies for the student to use in the classroom is an integral part of the teaching-learning process.
