Keyboarding drills (wpm)

This course needs a good blog! Until then, my advice is Get to Class!

Welcome to IP30!

This is already feeling like it should be a blog rather than a static or infrequently-updated website.

KEYBOARDING

Please use the link to keyboarding drills in the column to the left.

Once at the site, begin with Keyboard Lesson 1, and work through Exercises 1 to 10.
When you have completed Exercise 10, record your wpm and number of errors on your learning log sheet. Your goal is to be error free. If you have achieved zero errors, put a checkmark beside your wpm instead of a zero.

In these exercises, the name of the key you are to type next is highlighted. You cannot go back to correct errors in this drill. You can repeat a drill if you need to reduce the number of errors.

NOTE: DO NOT look at the keyboard as you type. If you are making errors, use a small printout of a keyboard taped to the top of the monitor.
