“We are very happy to have Crystal as the Principal at Davidson School,” said Sun West Director of Education Vicki Moore. “She did a wonderful job as Vice-Principal and has taken leadership roles at the Division level as well. We are looking forward to working with her in this new role,” she added.
Ms. Johnson started her teaching career after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000 with a Bachelor of Education. Her first teaching position was in Davidson filling in for an elementary teacher on leave and from there she taught in Craik School. She taught elementary grades in Craik from 2000 to 2013. In 2013, she became an elementary teacher at Davidson School. In 2016, she also became a Personalized electronically Blended Learning (PeBL) mentor. She continued as a PeBL mentor and also became Davidson Vice-Principal in 2018. She continued in these roles until May this year when she became Principal of Davidson School, a position she will continue in next school year.
"I am honoured and grateful to transition into being the principal of Davidson School. It is an absolute joy to work with our Davidson Raider students, staff and families,” said Ms. Johnson. “I look forward to continuing to build a safe, caring environment cultivating RAIDERS who are Reliable, Appreciative, have Integrity, are Deliberate, Empathetic, Resilient and Strong,” she concluded.
