A great curling tradition continues at Dinsmore Composite School

Every year, for the last 58 years, Dinsmore Composite School (DCS) has held its annual curling bonspiel. The bonspiel is a great tradition that gives all the students that play, and all the fans that watch, memories that last a lifetime.

The 58th annual Dinsmore Composite School curling bonspiel was held on January 31 and February 1, 2020.

This year’s bonspiel was won by the team of skip Troy Banks, third Abigail Friesen, second Megan Reiber and Darling McNeely. The 'B' final was won by the Paige Thomson rink with Spencer Flath, Sierra Tully and Venice Bantang. The 'C' Final was won by the Cole Buchanan rink with Ryan Kako, Pia Sol and Teagan Wollen.

Bonspiel organizers are very grateful to all the people in the Dinsmore community that had a hand in getting ready for this year's event including: the Dinsmore Memorial Arena Board, the Kinsmen, the rink worker groups, the DCS School Community Council, the DCS staff the prize sponsors, the Dinsmore Library, Terry Orban, Jason Blackwell, the fans and the players.

It was a great weekend!
