BEECHY SCHOOL WELCOMES BACK
STUDENTS AND PARENTS
By Camille Hounjet, teacher at Beechy School
Beechy School hosted its annual Welcome
Back BBQ on September 14. Hot dogs, chips, pop and ice cream were served
to parents and students.
Following supper, parents were invited into
the school to learn about the 4 Assessment Fixes that Sun West School
Division
is targeting this year. Then parents branched off into 3 different
sessions. In the library, they were connected with the math teacher
from Eston to show parents
how Pictel is used in our school. In room 2, they were connected
with a Physics teacher in Kenaston to show parents how the SMART
Board
is used. In room
1, they participated in 4 different Math Makes Sense explore
activities to show parents how the new program is used in the classroom.
